I grew up on a small farm outside of Santa Fe, NM. My parents are artists and make their living as potters. My first memories of being creative are sitting atop my Mom’s studio table covered in clay dust building clay animals.
While in college, I worked as a decorative painter for my families’ business. After I received a B.S. degree in Biology and a M.S. degree in Molecular Biology, I worked in research until the birth of my first child. At this time I chose to stay home.
While living in New Mexico I once again painted pottery for my families’ business. I also developed a technique to paint on fabric. I currently have a small business painting one of a kind t-shirts and cloth-napkins. I have recently been experimenting with collage, the technique used to decorate my violin “Humming Birds on Blue”.
